I live in Wisconsin. I have had my pond for about ten years. It would be nice and clear after the ice went out and for maybe a couple of weeks. Then it would turn green and stay that way until the temps got cooler. I spent hundreds trying different things, bacteria barley bales, but nothing worked very well. Last year I tried Algaefix in the middle of the summer and after a couple of treatments it got pretty clear. This year I gave a treatment as soon as the water started to get cloudy After a3 treatments the water was clear. I decided to add treatments as needed. They weren't. I added one just today, Sept 18 because I saw a little algae in some places. The water is still crystal clear. I am going to order another gallon because the one I have is getting a little low. My pond is approx. 3,500 gallons and it lasted all year. I finally found something that works.
