To calculate the approximate quantity in tons of rocks for your pond or water garden feature:
- Boulders in a pond = length x width /65
- 1/4″ to 3″ gravel in a pond = tons of boulders /0.45
- Boulders in a stream = 3/4 ton per 10’ of stream length
- 1/4″ to 3″ gravel in a stream = 1/2 ton per 10′ of stream length
- 3/4 – 1 1/4 tons of boulders to surround face of standard waterfall
